Connecting with Family

It has been a real joy to connect with family that I haven't seen since I was a child.  Some even remember me better than I remember them because Iwas so young.  Ann Baker Bell who babysit for us kids when we were little.  She remembered me as being "the good one" (lots has changed since then).  I was probably only about 1 or 2 at this time (no wonder the memory is vague).  A day or so later, I heard from Angie Baker Beasley.  She is the daughter of Bobby Baker.  What a joy to hear from her!   I lost contact with Bobby when I was a teenager and never knew what happened with him from there.  It was good to gather some information about him.  Unfortunately, it was his obituary where I learned the most.  But, at least, this gave me a connection for Angie to find me.

This search for our family history has been so rewarding and exciting.  We come from a good, hard working family and I am so proud to paying this tribute to them.

I am a descendent of D. Franklin McCoy. I have created a facebook page called "The Real McCoy's" if anyone is interested in joining. Would love to connect with other family members.
